Pakistan is coming up to speed with the production of movies in the recent few years. This speed is helping it improve radically and produce some of the amazing and critically acclaimed works like Cake, Khuda Keliye and Bol.
But somehow all of these movies are exceptionally liked by the rich and educated people of Pakistan. A great deal fo Pakistani audience still watches vulgar action-oriented fables in the shape pf Lollywood small-time movies. These contain dance videos, fights and much more that appeals to the lower and lighter audiences. More heavy-handed audiences are into the serious concepts and intricate lives of people.
ARY’s Kaaf Kangana is one of the movies that fall in the middle. It caters to the people of both intellects and sense of humor. This is a tough spot to be in. The movies that fall into this circle are hated by those who want more critical content like Sarmad Khoosat’s Manto and people who do not like more deeper movies will find this as a political and serious movie. Before we get into further discussion here is the preview for you.
There are remarks about Kashmir, and well we all know how we feel about that *Sentimental* and the movie has strong emotional responses to the Indian way of life and people just like Sunny Deol used to in his movies back in the day when he was a star and not a politician.
If you have lately been to a wedding then you must have heard this wedding hit. It is a troubling song. On Youtube when you are going through comments under our music from artists like Abida Parveen, Atif Aslam, Ali Sethi and Coke Studio you get to read gazillions of comments that say love fro India. Art is supposed to bond but this one mocks the neighboring country and we do not appreciate that stuff.
The hatemongering is not limited to the problematic lyrics of the song but they also extend to the dialogs of the movie and the concept of the movie. Without giving you any spoilers, you should know that it is exactly like the trailer looks like, nothing more. However, the entire hall was laughing super hard throughout this movie. It was an all in all great attempt.
Good Morning Pakistan! Keep appreciating and keep entertained!
