Elon Musk recently talked about his plan to move one million people to Mars. He thinks it’s important to have a backup plan for humanity in case something bad happens on Earth. He wants Mars to be able to support human life on its own, even if we can’t get supplies from Earth.
Musk talked about his big project, the Starship rocket, which is meant to take people to Mars quickly. He said it would be like traveling across a country. SpaceX, his company, is working hard to make this kind of travel possible. Musk also said they plan to send people to the Moon in the next eight years.
He wants to build a base on the Moon and eventually make cities on Mars. Musk believes it’s important for humans to explore beyond Earth, including going farther than the International Space Station.
Musk also said they need to test the Starship a lot to make sure it’s safe for space travel. SpaceX is serious about making space exploration better and safer.
