Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Jamaat-e-Islami Forge Alliance: Path to Collaboration

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) have reached an agreement to work together. According to media reports, another development has emerged in the current political situation where PTI and JI leadership have made contact.

During this time, both parties have agreed to work together, it has been reported that PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan contacted JI Liaqat Baloch (Deputy Amir). During this contact, both parties agreed to finalize the ToRs (terms of reference) before including independent members and formed 3-member committees to finalize the ToRs. The PTI committee includes Barrister Gohar Ali, Azam Swati, and Ali Amin Gandapur, while the JI’s 3-member committee includes Liaqat Baloch, Professor Ibrahim, and Anayatullah.

It is known that leaders of both parties will consult to advance the matter, and the committees will soon finalize the ToRs and submit them to the leadership for a final decision. After finalizing the matters, an alliance will be formed between PTI and JI. The committees will also ensure constant communication between Jamaat-e-Islami and PTI. It is reported that in this regard, apart from Jamaat-e-Islami, PTI is also in contact with the leadership of MQM-P. Before the elections, a meeting between Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, the chairman of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, has also taken place. After this meeting, it was said that we are with Imran Khan till the last drop of blood and last breath. Freedom has a wide spectrum, and in this journey, Imran Khan and we are together because this path is the path of dignity, and we are the followers of Karbala, so we will be at the forefront of sacrifice.

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas said that today I had a very difficult meeting with Imran Khan, a person who did not become afraid after coming to jail, did not fall off his platelets, did not get sick, is determined. The leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is stronger than before, a person like Imran Khan is not present on the face of Pakistan who talks about freedom and liberty, people also trust him because the people trust him.
