PTI Announces Nominees for Chief Minister Positions in Punjab and Balochistan

In a recent press conference, Gohar Ali Khan, flanked by esteemed party leaders Sher Afzal Marwat and Mashal Yousafzai, unveiled critical updates from within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).  Gohar Khan disclosed that PTI’s founder Imran Khan has greenlighted Mian Aslam Iqbal and Salar Khan as contenders for the Chief Minister posts in Punjab and Balochistan, respectively.

Moreover, Khan revealed Aqibullah Khan as PTI’s choice for Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, where PTI-backed independents dominate. He hinted at imminent announcements for National Assembly Speaker and Deputy Speaker nominees.

Expressing dismay, Khan contested the election results, claiming PTI secured 180 seats but had their mandate usurped. He criticized the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), accusing them of forming a government despite a paltry seat count.

Emphasizing electoral integrity, Khan urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the judiciary to expedite resolution of 70 alleged rigging cases to restore PTI’s purported mandate.

While vowing staunch opposition until mandate restoration, Khan ruled out alliances with PPP, PML-N, or MQM. PTI’s moves signal a commitment to upholding democratic principles and navigating Pakistan’s political landscape.
