On “falsely accusing” Islamabad police of torturing and sexually assaulting PTI chief of staff Shahbaz Gill in custody. youtube and Senior Journalist Jameel Farooqui is granted police two days remand after the hearing in a district and session court in Islamabad.
He is accused as per the statement issued on Monday by the Capital city police that Mr. Farooqi leveled accusations in his V-log on his youtube Channel that Shahbaz Gill was physically and sexually assaulted during police custody.
During the proceedings, the YouTuber was arraigned in court and the police sought an extension in his physical remand. After hearing the arguments, the magistrate granted the police two days’ physical remand of Farooqui.
The case against social media activity has been registered at Islamabad’s Ramna Police Station.
