On Monday, Siraj-ul-Haq announced his resignation as the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) following the party’s disappointing showing in the recently concluded Elections 2024.

Unofficial results indicate that Jamaat-e-Islami failed to secure any seats in the National Assembly. In addition, the party managed to secure only two seats in Sindh, three in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and one in the Balochistan assemblies.
