Fortuner, Cinema & Sex in Pakistan

First the cinema videos, Now Fortuner – Those Who Can’t Have It, Joke: Sex in Pakistan.

Sex in Pakistan is a taboo. It is a problem and it is an obsession for people on social media. Yes, you see more and more bloggers, Twitter birds and people talk about it. More women are able to say the word ‘sex’ somehow it was only a male privilege before.

But, honestly this is not a big deal considering the global population is in billions, it is pretty much an ordinary thing happening anywhere. But, by the virtue of being Desi, we are love to keep our mouths shut, willingly or forcefully and we love to shame people who do not.

Fortuner on Motorway:

Maybe the Fortuner pictures are a joke. Perhaps they are a marketing stunt by the company which is highly impossible as the number plate is quite visible in the pictures and the stunt can cost Toyota a ton in lawsuits.

You can not take someone’s pictures without their consent. You can not take a picture of someone’s house without asking them first. Similarly, you can not click a picture of someone’s car! The road is a public space, but, the privilege is limited to the public present at the road at the time of the certain event occurring.

The lengths to which people are willing to go to humiliate sex offenders is strange in this part of the world as compared too many far more religious and decent parts of the world.

Let’s do away with some of the moral policing. Let’s just allow people to be. Criminals should be penalized according to law, not according to what the social media savvy people are posting to their timelines.

Sex in Pakistan: Cinema Surveillance Videos:

We have all in some way seen the cinema videos in Pakistan. It is sad, that a cinema is able to release any videos from its security footage. The videos which essentially are made for security and law enforcement.

Even in criminal cases, a place is ethically bound to hold the footage in place and away from the public eye. The cameras are present anywhere for the safety of the audience, not for humiliation. Criminal fairness is not the same as the public humiliation of any offenders.

The people in the videos no matter where they are and what they are doing, they are human beings. Anywhere a person makes a consenting mature decision, it is their rightful right to be free of judgment and morality.

According to legal rights, having access to the video is not unlimited. It is bound under privilege. The cinema does not reserve the right to share the videos so one should wonder how this got out in the first place.

Also, leaking such a video murks up the cinema culture, it does more social harm than any good at all and it is sick to begin with.

Public decency and Maturity:

Your morality can never be the same as the sense of morality for another person. This is why it is essential to spare people of the comments you think are hilarious. At the end of the day, we only joke about the things we do not have. Why make tell the world how lonely you are? Right?

We are all judging each other nonstop. Even on social media, a polarity exists. So many people are not agreeing on these jokes. And they want it to be stopped. Of course, it is sad viewing that someone may have to face humiliation beyond repair for something naive.

We live in a world of global discourse. Our mental abilities become blurry. We take influence from so many things. It is what it is. AND WE GOTTA MATURE THE HELL UP. Let people live, not everyone can be as nice as us. Know this as long as it helps you keep the moral rationing to yourself.

Keep your judgment to you. We will too. Good morning Pakistan! Wake up to smell the roses!
