In a recent development, the former Prime Minister Mr. Imran Khan, who disclosed Ali Amin Gandapur as the KP CM, has hinted at an imminent announcement regarding the party’s choice for the premiership. Asad Qaiser, after a meeting with the imprisoned PTI founder Imran Khan outside Adiala Jail, revealed that Omar Ayub Khan has been slated as PTI’s nominee for the PM position. He further elaborated on engaging in discussions with several political entities, including JUI-F, ANP, and Aftab Sherpao, concerning government formation talks.
Citing concerns over the integrity of the February 8 elections, Asad Qaiser denounced the alleged rigging aimed at undermining PTI’s electoral mandate. Notably, Omar Ayub Khan, an independent candidate backed by PTI, emerged victorious in NA-18, Haripur, securing a substantial 192,948 votes. The unofficial tallies indicated Babar Nawaz Khan of PML-N as the runner-up, with 112,389 votes cast in his favor. The voter turnout for the constituency stood at 49.88%.
